Baltimore Part II - the Navy, Firetrucks and Historic...

So, some of you know that Lucas is/was in the Air Force (he's currently in the Reserves) and he's also quite the Red Sox Fan. I would say that he's a Baseball Fan, but I think really it's just the Red Sox, but we did walk to Camden Yards. Now, I personally love Fenway in Boston and so my expectations weren't very high for Camden, but it was alright. It just seems like it's a modern version of an old school stadium - which is cool, but definitely not as cool as Fenway. Here's the funny thing - as we walked through the gates we noticed that other people were doing the same. As we walked in we saw thousands of Navy Cadets (I'm not sure if they're called Cadets so I apologize if it's wrong) but there were thousands! It turns out that there was Maryland vs. Navy Football (rivals!) game that night so it was packed with fans. There were marching bands around us, Navy marching into the stadium and Coors Light Beer Cans everywhere. We ended up spending over an hour near the Football Stadium just watching people - made Baltimore completely worth it. Shortly after we left, there were fire trucks everywhere (outside of the stadium ) so we thought something big happened - but must have been a cat in a tree or something because we researched and found nothing. In conclusion, Baltimore is great for a "day trip" - I would recommend going to a game - seemed like it was fun. :)
